I have been drawing since a child but really discovered a passion for it in my high school years at Providence High School located downtown San Antonio. At this stage I fell in love with large wall paintings and installations. I received my associates in Art from Northwest Vista and my Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of Texas in San Antonio. During college I was able to exhibit my work in places like the BlueStar complex and the UTSA Gallery. My focus is mainly in drawing and painting but I have a place in my heart for everything fine art, from ceramics to printmaking.
When I create for myself I get into a mental space where lines and colors flow. Not always do I begin with an image in mind, but sometimes it just appears. I favor abstract art because its all about intuition and interpretation. I became fond of with this approach and truly enjoy it. I have been teaching art for over 10 years and have been an advocate for giving people creative outlets!
Recognizing the profound impact of aesthetics on viewers, I've ventured into the realm of murals, installations, and illustrations. Through these mediums, I strive to harness the power of visual art to inspire, captivate, and elevate.
My goal when creating for others is to bring their vision to life. To achieve this, we engage in conversations and share imagery, working together towards a shared creative vision.
